Requirements

Must:
- Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience - Proficient in TypeScript across the entire stack - Production experience with NestJS or a comparable Node.js backend framework - Experience with Next.js or a similar React-based frontend framework - Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Prisma, or TypeORM - Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, etc.) - Strong QA discipline, including writing unit tests and integration tests as part of development - Practical experience utilizing AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT) - Willingness to work on-site 4 days a week in downtown Houston - Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight while effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical teams - Nice to Have: - Experience with GCP in addition to AWS - CI/CD pipeline design experience with tools like GitHub Actions - Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code practices (e.g., Terraform, CDK) - Prior consulting experience or involvement in client-embedded roles - Background in ERP or accounting software - Experience in mentoring or leading other engineers - Familiarity with energy industry domain knowledge

Responsibilities
