Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in full-stack development, covering both mobile and backend
- Demonstrated capability to deliver real products from concept to completion
- Comfortable with making important technical decisions and taking ownership of results
- Startup-oriented mindset: quick, resourceful, and maintaining high standards
- Excellent communication skills and dependable work ethic
- Bonus: Familiarity with subscription billing or payment integration
- Bonus: Background in developing marketplace-style or matching platforms
- Bonus: Understanding of security best practices and user data privacy
- Bonus: Previous experience in early-stage startups (0→1)
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and deployment of the mobile app MVP from the ground up
- Transform product requirements into a seamless and functional user experience
- Develop the backend services necessary to support the mobile application
- Implement features such as authentication, user profiles, key product flows, and monetization strategies
- Own the system architecture, ensuring code quality, scalability, and performance
- Select the optimal tech stack and tools to promote speed and sustainable growth
- Set and uphold engineering best practices, including clean coding, documentation, and testing protocols
- Organize deployments, environments, and the developer workflow
- Collaborate closely with the founder regarding product decisions and scope management
- Provide technical guidance to maintain a lean and launch-ready MVP
- Assist in identifying priorities for early traction and revenue generation

We are an early-stage startup focused on creating a premium mobile dating experience that fosters meaningful connections. Our mission is to build a modern product with a strong brand identity, clear revenue strategies, and a long-term vision. We are in search of a Lead Developer / Founding Engineer to spearhead the MVP development and take technical ownership from the outset. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to ship quickly while potentially evolving into a CTO position as our company expands. Compensation is flexible and may include equity, cash, or a mix, depending on experience and availability. The role is remote, allowing you to work from anywhere.
