Requirements
Must:
- An Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical support or help desk position.
- Demonstrated experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and network equipment.
- Familiarity with a range of software applications, including Microsoft Office 365, cloud platforms, backup tools, and antivirus software.
- Knowledge of networking technologies such as Ethernet, switching, wireless LANs, DHCP, and DNS.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities, particularly for remote assistance scenarios.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical users.
- Experience collaborating with vendors and ensuring high satisfaction levels.
- Ability to lift and carry IT equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- I will provide technical support and resolve hardware, infrastructure, and software issues for both on-site and remote users.
- I will take ownership of user problems and maintain timely communication regarding progress and solutions.
- I will stage, configure, deploy, and track personal desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- I will evaluate user hardware requirements and recommend the most suitable equipment.
- I will conduct IT onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires and departing staff.
- I will offer guidance and training to users on best practices for utilizing hardware and software.
- I will manage assigned departmental tasks and contribute to broader team initiatives.
- I will document service issues and resolutions in the IT service management system.
- I will identify recurring issues and suggest process enhancements.
- I will create and maintain IT support documentation and training resources.
- I will assist in the evaluation and selection of new hardware and software tools as needed.
Description
