Requirements
Must:
- Associate Degree in Computer Systems, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in Windows Desktop and Server support.
- Prior experience in an IT support or help desk role.
- Preferred healthcare industry experience.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
- Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, MCPR or equivalent technical certification.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Office 365).
- Familiarity with Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems.
- Knowledge of Office 365 administration tools.
- Experience with antivirus and endpoint protection solutions.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer service skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with limited supervision.
- Attention to detail and commitment to security practices.
- Proactive and team-oriented attitude.
Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-level technical support for desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, printers, and mobile devices.
- Ensure timely technical assistance in alignment with company Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Windows desktop and server operating systems.
- Assist in supporting and maintaining Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Aid in user account management, including passwords, permissions, and access rights.
- Engage in IT asset management, covering equipment assignment, tracking, and inventory control.
- Support and uphold IT security standards, including antivirus measures, endpoint protection, and appropriate use of hardware and software.
- Deliver training and instruction to employees regarding the effective use of IT productivity tools.
- Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions according to established IT protocols.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-tier support when necessary.
- Undertake additional IT-related tasks or projects in response to department and company requirements.
Description
We are seeking an IT Support Specialist for a six-month project in the San Juan area. This role is pivotal in providing first and second-level technical support to our end users and ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems, software applications, and IT services.
