Must:
I am looking for candidates with the following qualifications: - Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, particularly focused on image processing. - Prior experience in a medical device company or a highly regulated industry. - A Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline. - Strong skills in collaborative teamwork. - Ability to produce clear and thorough technical documentation describing software designs and testing procedures. - Experience in designing and conducting experiments, including data collection and documentation that comply with current Good Documentation Practices (cGDocP). - Familiarity with software testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing. - Proficiency in using version control systems such as Git or SVN. - Experience working in an AGILE environment with tools like JIRA. - Sound understanding of object-oriented design principles. - Proficient in programming languages such as C/C++, JavaScript, and Python. - Practical experience with standard laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, and hardware debugging platforms. - Knowledge of hardware interfaces such as CAN, I2C, SPI, USB, UART, and Ethernet. - Experience with device peripherals like EEPROMS and high-speed ADC/DAC. - Familiarity with STM32 processors.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, I will lead and support all aspects of software engineering throughout the software product lifecycle, including design, verification and validation testing, release, and post-market processes for medical device software. - I will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing both product and non-product software, along with tools that support product development and uphold overall code quality. - I will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, which includes conducting software risk assessments, implementing control measures, defining and executing software testing, integrating software into production environments, and providing ongoing support for released software. - I will document code, algorithms, and processes in a clear and concise manner, while also defining and writing software, firmware, and system requirements, specifications, and design documentation. Regular updates and reports on project status will be communicated to stakeholders. - I will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, other R&D engineers, operations, field service, and IT, to support the entire development lifecycle. - I will also provide technical mentorship and leadership to junior engineers, lead code reviews, advocate secure coding practices, and ensure compliance with industry standards throughout the engineering teams. - I will focus on developing, maintaining, and optimizing image processing algorithms that meet performance, quality, and reliability standards, supporting the definition of requirements, test plans, and validation processes.

Description


This is a full-time position with a pay range of $130,000.00 to $180,000.00 per year. We offer benefits such as a 401(k), dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance. The work schedule will be Monday to Friday. Candidates should have at least 4 years of image processing experience and 2 years of experience with STM32. The ability to commute to Carlsbad, CA 92008 is required, as well as the willingness to relocate before starting work. This position will require in-person attendance.
