Requirements
Must:
- DoD 8570 IAT level II or higher certification preferred
- CISCO certification preferred
- In-depth knowledge of CSAM or comparable tools like XACTA
- Willingness to acquire and maintain TS/SCI clearance as necessary for duties
- Ability to commute to the on-site job location or readiness to relocate
- Familiarity with firewalls and experience in performing firewall log reviews
- Knowledge of SIEM systems
- Proficiency with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus
- Comprehensive understanding of NIST 800-53 Rev 4 and 5
- Bachelors degree or higher, focusing on IT, Cybersecurity, engineering, or related technical fields
- Experience collaborating with administrators and engineers to address vulnerabilities
- Experience in researching new cybersecurity solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Capability to work in a team setting as well as independently
- Attention to detail and a proactive work ethic
- Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply
- Candidate must be a US citizen or able to prove the right to work in the US for an extended timeframe
- Must successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment, based on the required security clearance level
Responsibilities
- Provide Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) support
- Recommend system-level solutions to address security needs
- Engage in the change management process
- Offer security planning, assessment, and risk analysis assistance
- Conduct security assessments
- Create security assessment documentation
- Participate in security configuration control boards
- Validate security configurations
- Support the implementation, operation, and maintenance of a secure IT infrastructure
- Deploy, manage, and integrate security tools
- Ensure compliance with IT security standards and policies
- Develop certification and accreditation materials
- Conduct vulnerability scanning
- Monitor network traffic
- Analyze security logs
- Execute security testing
- Carry out risk assessments
