Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience (8+ years) in cybersecurity or IT
- Proficient knowledge of networks, operating systems, and security principles
- Experience with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls
- Capability to analyze data and pinpoint security risks
- Familiarity with NYDFS 500 or related regulations is a plus
- Preferred security certifications (CISSP, GIAC, CEH)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Monitor networks, endpoints, and systems for unusual activities
- Manage and optimize security tools (SIEM, EDR, endpoint protection)
- Conduct security assessments, testing, and risk evaluations
- Respond to incidents: investigate, triage, and document findings
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures
- Support audits, compliance efforts, and remediation activities
- Drive security awareness initiatives (phishing, social engineering)
- Report on risks, threats, and strategies for mitigation
