Requirements
Must:
- 7+ years of experience in IT project or program management, preferably in a PMO setting.
- Direct, hands-on experience with end-to-end ServiceNow platform implementations within the last 5 years.
- Demonstrated success in delivering ServiceNow solutions in HR Service Delivery, finance-related workflows, and IT infrastructure/ITSM/ITOM environments.
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects in enterprise settings.
- Familiarity with product-centric delivery models and transitioning from project-based approaches.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is mandatory.
- Preferred certifications include Agile or Scrum (CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, etc.) and ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS, CAD).
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and hybrid methodologies.
- Capable of effectively managing project plans, roadmaps, and RAID logs.
- Exceptional skills in stakeholder management and executive-level communication.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and escalation management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and governance standards.
- Proficient in leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete delivery of ServiceNow platform implementations, ensuring that scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets are met.
- Drive accountability for project outcomes and proactively address challenges and obstacles.
- Differentiate and manage product-based delivery models, including roadmaps and incremental value delivery, versus traditional project execution.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise PMO governance while facilitating Agile and hybrid delivery frameworks.
- Manage and enhance ServiceNow deployments across various modules, including HR Service Delivery, finance workflows, and ITSM/ITOM.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, developers, platform owners, and vendors.
- Align platform configurations, integrations, and release plans with architectural standards and business objectives.
- Lead projects using Agile and Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with Product Owners to prioritize backlogs and drive incremental business value.
- Support the transition of teams from traditional project models to product-centric operating structures.
- Create and maintain project plans, delivery roadmaps, milestones, and resources.
- Manage RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and ensure timely mitigation and escalation.
- Provide concise status reports and communicate effectively with executives.
- Ensure alignment between delivery teams, PMO governance, and strategic business objectives.
- Foster strong relationships with business leaders, product owners, and technical teams.
- Act as the main point of contact for delivery updates, risks, and critical decisions.
- Engage senior leadership to maintain alignment and support project momentum.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise quality and governance standards, promoting continuous improvement through retrospectives and metrics.
- Ensure all deliverables adhere to defined acceptance criteria and meet business expectations.
Description
We are on the lookout for a skilled, results-oriented IT PMO Project Manager with recent experience in implementing the ServiceNow platform to spearhead complex, enterprise-level projects. This is a contract role based in the Corning, NY or Charlotte, NC areas, with consideration for remote candidates in the Eastern or Central Time Zones. The successful candidate will drive scalable enterprise platforms and modern service delivery processes that facilitate large-scale business and IT transformation initiatives. We offer a competitive pay rate of $85.07 - $110.69 per hour, and a standard work schedule of Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
