Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience working with ServiceNow CMDB.
- Demonstrated experience in ITSM processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, and Asset Management.
- Practical experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations.
- Ability to configure ServiceNow Discovery, including schedules, probes, and sensors.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB & CSDM, including CI classes and relationships.
- Understanding of network fundamentals, including IP addresses, protocols, firewalls, and ports.
- Proficiency with Windows/Linux administration and common services like DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, and uphold the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring data accuracy and integrity by collaborating with the infrastructure operations team and ServiceNow tool owner.
- Develop and enforce policies, business rules, standards, and procedures for the CMDB.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of CMDB data to guarantee compliance with organizational standards.
- Establish discovery schedules, probes, and sensors within ServiceNow.
- Recommend and reconcile optimal data sources for discovery processes.
- Configure and maintain mid-servers and credentials in the ServiceNow platform.
- Comprehend discovery patterns and create new patterns as necessary.
- Manage CI classes and establish relationships within the CMDB.
- Understand the CMDBs structure and its alignment with the Common Services Data Model (CSDM).
- Propose and create automated processes to eliminate or retire outdated CMDB data and relationships.
- Utilize knowledge of IP addresses, protocols, firewalls, and ports to support CMDB and discovery initiatives.
- Grasp Windows/Linux administration and how common services like DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory interact within the ServiceNow environment.
Description
