Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Active DoD Clearance: Secret clearance
- Experience in at least two of the following areas: Embedded C/C++ Software, High-Performance Computer Systems, Embedded Real-Time Sensors and Control Applications, Software Architecture Design and Implementation
- Familiarity with embedded Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, or Linux
- Proven experience in developing complex systems integrating hardware, firmware, and software
- Strong proficiency in C/C++
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, test, debug, and integrate high-performance embedded real-time software within heterogeneous systems featuring multiple processor types and FPGAs
- Collaborate with a diverse team to test contributions and assess performance
- Integrate developed components into larger systems for real-world testing and deployment
- Mentor and coach less experienced team members
- Contribute to proposals and participate in preliminary and critical design reviews
Description
We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer with expertise in real-time embedded C language system development to join our Physical Sciences & Systems business unit, conveniently located near Newport, Rhode Island. In this onsite position, you will engage with a dynamic team, tackling some of our customers most challenging problems while enjoying the benefits of a highly regarded software development environment.
