Requirements
Must:
- 10+ years in network engineering, with a minimum of 4 years in a lead Architect or Principal role.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
- CCNP (Enterprise/Data Center) certification required; CCIE or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional preferred.
- Expert-level knowledge of Cisco IOS/XE/NX-OS.
- Strong proficiency in EIGRP and BGP for routing.
- Demonstrated experience architecting AWS networking environments (VPCs, Security Groups, Route 53, Direct Connect).
- Hands-on experience with Fortigate Firewalls (FortiOS).
- Familiarity with traffic management tools such as F5 LTM/GTM or Citrix NetScaler.
- Proficient in using SolarWinds (NPM/NCM) for enterprise-wide monitoring and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and lead cross-functional projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain a robust hub-and-spoke and mesh network architecture for approximately 250 locations.
- Lead the optimization of secure high-speed connectivity between on-premises infrastructures and AWS (Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, etc.).
- Manage and enhance a complex routing environment focused on EIGRP, with BGP for external/cloud peering and specific OSPF deployments.
- Oversee the integration of Fortigate Firewalls and manage application delivery through NetScaler and load balancers.
- Utilize SolarWinds and other monitoring tools to ensure comprehensive visibility into network performance, conducting proactive capacity planning and troubleshooting.
- Spearhead the transition from traditional hardware-centric models to Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Cloud-Native architectures.
