Requirements
Must:
- Proven capacity to interpret and articulate both technical and non-technical policy requirements.
- Strong understanding of IT security principles, risk management, and controls.
- Outstanding organizational and project management abilities to prioritize prominent requests.
- Skill in simplifying intricate IT security concepts for audiences with diverse technical backgrounds.
- Experience with ServiceNow for policy or exception management is advantageous.
- Analytical perspective to identify problems, analyze data, and propose effective solutions.
- Cooperative mindset for building relationships and providing exceptional client service.
- Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field accompanied by 3-5 years of relevant experience or a mix of education, training, and experience.
- Experience in IT Risk Management and/or governance of IT Policies and Standards.
- Preference for candidates with experience in regulated sectors such as Financial Services.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, GCCC, CISA, or other cybersecurity credentials are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of IT Policy Exception requests: Implement and monitor exception requests through ServiceNow, ensuring both accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with financial advisors: Work in partnership with financial advisors and their technology teams to document requests and provide clear guidance.
- Conduct risk assessments and mitigation: Evaluate policy deviations, measure associated risks, identify compensating controls, and suggest remediation strategies.
- Effectively communicate: Engage with advisors through email, chat, and phone to deliver exceptional support and clarity concerning IT security requirements.
- Promote continuous improvement: Troubleshoot issues, tackle challenges, and participate in process enhancements that bolster our risk management approach.
- Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
