Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the Medicaid sector, with a strong focus on MMIS
- In-depth knowledge of claims processing, eligibility procedures, and provider management systems
- Demonstrated expertise in business analysis, stakeholder participation, and documentation practices
- Practical experience using Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Medicaid/MMIS in areas such as claims, eligibility, enrollment, and provider modules
- Spearhead the gathering of requirements, business process analysis, and documentation (including BRDs, FRDs, and user stories)
- Convert intricate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders, product owners, and development teams
- Ensure adherence to CMS guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and state Medicaid standards
- Assist in defect management and production support
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and facilitate system modernization projects
- Mentor fellow business analysts and support Agile delivery processes
