Requirements
Must:
- Active Secret Clearance
- At least 8 years of experience in systems administration, cloud infrastructure operations, or enterprise IT environments
- Proven experience managing enterprise cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or Azure
- DoD 8570 compliant certification at IAT Level II (Security+ CE or an equivalent)
- Minimum of one cloud certification (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, or similar)
- Experience with secure federal environments and classified networks
Responsibilities
- Oversee the seamless operation of enterprise cloud systems within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Collaborate with system engineers, network admins, and security teams to ensure robust cloud performance
- Provision and administer virtual infrastructure resources including virtual machines, storage, and networking elements
- Manage administrator and service accounts across cloud tenants and related infrastructure
- Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure architecture, tenant inventories, and operational processes
- Monitor system health, optimize performance, and enhance resource utilization in the cloud environment
- Install and oversee system-wide software and allocate mass storage resources as necessary
- Respond to significant events requiring provisioning or scaling of virtual resources such as VMs and storage services
- Troubleshoot and rectify critical failures within the cloud infrastructure
- Design and implement automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and scalability
- Create and refine tools, scripts, reports, and monitoring procedures to ensure the well-being and availability of the cloud environment
- Aid in executing infrastructure improvements and modernization initiatives
- Support operating system lifecycle management including releases, patches, and bug fixes
- Communicate updates pertaining to system maintenance, platform changes, and operational effects
- Ensure compliance with federal security standards
Description
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Administrator to enhance our federal cloud operations using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This position is essential for guaranteeing the reliability, performance, and security of our cloud infrastructure that supports mission-critical systems. The Cloud Administrator will engage closely with systems engineers, network administrators, and cybersecurity teams to optimize cloud resources in classified environments requiring periodic access to SIPRNet systems at Hanscom Air Force Base. We foster a hybrid work environment with a preference for candidates near Concord, Massachusetts, and ensure periodic on-site support for SIPRNet access.
