Requirements
Must:
- Active Secret security clearance is mandatory
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- At least 8 years of experience in cloud engineering, systems engineering, or reliability engineering
- Proficient in supporting cloud-based systems and distributed environments
- Strong grasp of system monitoring, performance tuning, and incident management
- Compliance with DoD 8570 / 8140 certification (IAT Level II is necessary)
- Possession of cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or OCI) is preferred
Responsibilities
- Ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of cloud platforms and services
- Monitor systems and address incidents, outages, and performance issues
- Design and uphold monitoring, logging, and alerting methodologies across cloud infrastructures
- Assist in the application of high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
- Evaluate system performance and pinpoint areas for enhancement
- Troubleshoot challenges related to hardware degradation, network delays, and resource limitations
- Validate production readiness by confirming system requirements including dependencies, diagrams, and monitoring protocols
- Utilize operational metrics such as MTTR (Mean Time to Recovery) and MTTF (Mean Time to Failure) to advance system performance
- Partner with engineering and DevOps teams to facilitate system integration and deployment processes
- Create technical solutions for complex system reliability issues
