Requirements
Must:
- Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- At least 4 years of experience in cloud security, information assurance, or a similar field
- Proven experience with AWS cloud environments and security engineering
- Deep understanding of risk management, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks
- DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (IAT Level II required)
- One or more cloud certifications (AWS preferred)
- Experience in supporting federal or defense programs is a plus
- Familiarity with RMF, NIST, and cloud security frameworks is preferred
- Understanding of ATO processes and compliance documentation is beneficial
- Experience working in classified or high-security environments is advantageous
- Preferred location in Concord, MA area, with capability to support hybrid work and access Hanscom AFB as necessary
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and oversee AWS cloud security architectures and controls
- Identify security risks and vulnerabilities, and formulate mitigation strategies
- Assist with the assessment and remediation of system security threats throughout the lifecycle
- Validate system security requirements and aid in secure system design
- Implement and sustain security controls across infrastructure, applications, and data
- Assist with RMF activities including SSP updates, POA&M management, and compliance tracking
- Monitor cloud environments and assess security posture using AWS-native tools
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to ensure secure cloud operations
- Support continuous monitoring and enhancement of cloud security frameworks
Description
We are looking for an AWS Team Security and Compliance Engineer to bolster our cloud security engineering and compliance initiatives within a federal program. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing security controls across AWS environments, while also supporting risk management, compliance, and continuous monitoring efforts. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring secure cloud operations and aligning our infrastructure with federal cybersecurity standards.
