Requirements
Must:
- High School diploma is required (Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field is preferred)
- At least 1 year of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is preferred
- A strong commitment and enthusiasm for supporting individuals is essential
- Valid Drivers License with a satisfactory driving record
- Must successfully complete background checks and reference verifications
Responsibilities
- Provide personal assistance, instruction, and support to a group of young adults diagnosed with autism but without a developmental disability
- Evaluate individuals training needs, create detailed teaching programs, and track effectiveness through data collection
- Incorporate personal interests (such as art, music, cooking, health & fitness, etc.) into teaching new skills to others
- Design and execute community-based activities
- Deliver personal care and support in accordance with individuals unique needs as they pursue their objectives
