Requirements
Must:
- Master’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operations research, optimization, or a related capacity, preferably within supply chain or logistics
- Expertise in mathematical modeling and optimization methods, including linear programming, integer programming, and stochastic modeling
- Strong programming proficiency in Python, C++, or Java
- Familiarity with optimization solvers (e.g., Gurobi, CPLEX) and simulation tools
- Understanding of supply chain management principles
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with competence in analyzing complex systems and data sets
- Capacity to convey intricate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven experience in collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams
- Eagerness to learn and adjust to new technologies and challenges
Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and maintain mathematical models and algorithms aimed at optimizing supply chains, encompassing inventory management, demand forecasting, production scheduling, and logistics
- Create and deploy optimization and simulation instruments to address challenging supply chain issues, ensuring both scalability and effectiveness
- Examine large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and areas needing improvement
- Utilize statistical and machine learning methodologies to enhance model precision
- Partner with engineering teams to embed models and algorithms into the supply chain software platform for smooth operation
- Assist customer-facing teams by diagnosing and addressing issues related to optimization models and algorithms
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in operations research, optimization, and supply chain management
- Suggest and implement improvements to models and processes
- Generate comprehensive technical documentation detailing models, algorithms, and software components
- Engage in or lead project groups, ensuring that deadlines and scope are adhered to
