Requirements
Must:
- A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience in commissioning and debugging software systems
- Proficient in PLC programs, HMI, and application-specific software
- Strong understanding of control software for systems such as motion and vision
- Excellent time and cost management skills
- Ability to create documentation compliant with customer standards
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively between customers and engineering teams
- Experience in project risk identification and management
Responsibilities
- Manage time and costs effectively throughout the commissioning process
- Commission, troubleshoot, and test PLC, HMI, and control software at customer locations
- Configure and initiate all hardware devices including manifolds, inverters, and safety devices
- Engage in the handover process with the engineering team
- Collaborate to identify and assess potential project risks
- Develop documentation that meets the clients commissioning standards
- Participate in team discussions and project evaluations
- Coordinate activities with both internal and outsourced software teams
- Serve as a technical liaison on-site connecting the customer with engineering
- Monitor and document updates and deviations from the original project scope
- Ensure system functionality adheres to cycle-time and quality specifications
- Provide customer training and maintenance guidelines
Description
We are seeking a Software Commissioning Engineer to join our Commissioning & Site organization, where we focus on ensuring the successful integration of software developed during the engineering phase. This position will be integral from the initial power-on of the production lines through to achieving full automation. Youll be working closely with our dynamic team, and we are committed to providing the tools and support necessary for you to excel in this role.
