Requirements
Must:
- Must hold a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with at least 8 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years experience.
- Must possess an active and transferable SECRET U.S. government issued security clearance prior to starting.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in embedded software development using real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Proficiency in Agile development methodologies, including Scrum, automated testing, and continuous integration.
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is preferred.
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or nuclear command-and-control systems governed by relevant industry standards is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles would be a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to stakeholders by addressing inquiries and resolving technical challenges.
- Design and implement software that meets both customer and certification requirements.
- Produce high-quality software builds within a cohesive testing environment.
- Extract software requirements, develop UML design diagrams, and code solutions based on these diagrams.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with other Senior and Principal Software Engineers while mentoring junior colleagues and interns.
- Assist in verifying software requirements and supporting testing phases as necessary.
