Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in help desk, service desk, desktop support, or technical support in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, macOS, and fundamental Linux support.
- Experience troubleshooting computer hardware, software applications, printers, and network connectivity issues.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Office applications, remote support tools, and ticketing systems.
- Understanding of networking principles such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and LAN/WAN.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple requests, and operate independently or collaboratively.
- Strong analytical and organizational capabilities with meticulous attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt technical assistance to end users through phone, email, chat, and remote support tools, ensuring issues are addressed professionally and efficiently.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.
- Support desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, printers, scanners, and other peripherals to ensure their optimal functionality.
- Assist in system administration tasks, including software installation, updates, configuration adjustments, and user account management.
- Work with network components such as LAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, routers, switches, and firewalls to identify and resolve connectivity problems.
- Maintain and update Active Directory accounts, passwords, permissions, and access rights following company policies.
- Utilize help desk ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy to document issues, track progress, and keep accurate records of resolutions.
- Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to assist with service requests, implement solutions, and enhance overall system reliability.
- Help uphold IT security standards by adhering to established protocols for access control, system protection, and incident reporting.
- Create and revise technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides to facilitate future issue resolution.
