Responsibilities
As the Staff Software Engineer - Backend (Trading) on our Consumer Portfolio Team, you will serve as both a technical leader and a strategic thinker. Your role includes defining multi-quarter technical strategies that intersect with various financial products and architecting, developing, and managing distributed systems that enable real-time portfolio tracking for all consumer users. You will closely collaborate with management and stakeholders to align business objectives with a clear strategic roadmap. Additionally, you will design and implement core, high-performance infrastructure components using tools like Kafka and Clickhouse within an event-sourced framework, manage project priorities and deadlines, and mentor fellow team members on advanced design practices and coding standards. You will also have the opportunity to write high-quality, production-ready code that meets critical market needs.
