Requirements
Must:
- IT vocational diploma, Associates degree, or Bachelors degree
- Hands-on experience in Linux system administration (preferably Debian/Ubuntu) and management of Windows servers and workstations (services, logs, networking fundamentals, access management)
- Familiarity with using ticketing systems (preferably Jira) and adhering to SOPs/runbooks
- Proficient with Git workflows and release checklists (preferably using GitHub)
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and virtualization technologies (KVM/VMware)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity protocols and best practices for secure system administration
- Ability to multitask and troubleshoot effectively in a dynamic startup environment
- Availability to work in shifts (24/7) and participate in on-call rotations
- Strong written English communication skills; spoken English is a plus but not strictly necessary
Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor production and internal systems 24/7 utilizing established monitoring tools; triage alerts and manage incident tickets until resolution or escalation
- Implement SOPs/runbooks for standard operational scenarios (service restarts, credential rotations, failover checks, and diagnostics)
- Conduct ticket triage (categorize, prioritize, collect logs/metrics, and apply initial fixes within permission limits)
- Assist with controlled software releases and deployments (perform necessary pre-checks, follow deployment steps, validate, and execute rollback procedures) using GitHub and documented change protocols
- Carry out essential administrative tasks across Linux and Windows environments (user access requests, patch windows, and routine maintenance) in accordance with company policy
- Ensure the maintenance of high-quality operational documentation (including runbooks, handoffs, and post-incident notes)
- Engage in an on-call rotation and guarantee effective shift handoffs
- Provide on-site assistance for fundamental IT/infrastructure issues (e.g., workstation setup and connectivity checks) as required
- Manage and maintain both Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) and Windows servers within a hybrid environment
- Oversee and administer Azure and AWS cloud infrastructures
- Implement and uphold security best practices across all operations
