Requirements

Must:
- We prefer candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in IT, cybersecurity, or a similar field (computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics). - You should have at least 8 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering. - A CISSP certification is required (CISSP-IASAE is preferred). - You should possess expertise in routing, switching, firewalls/IPS, antivirus, host protections, and incident management. - A strong understanding of communication protocols, the ISO/OSI model, and troubleshooting is essential. - Experience with the RMF, DoD/DLA policies, and CERT compliance is necessary. - An active DoD clearance (IT-I Critical Sensitive) is required.

Responsibilities

- I define, implement, and enforce enterprise cybersecurity standards, policies, and procedures. - I coordinate, develop, and evaluate organizational security programs, making recommendations for improvements. - I perform vulnerability and risk assessments across system lifecycles, documenting findings and remediation actions. - I analyze and design security features for enterprise, embedded, and special-purpose systems, and I identify, report, and resolve security violations. - I develop and implement solutions that adapt to evolving cybersecurity requirements and provide integration and engineering support for IA components, network models, and security upgrades. - I conduct security testing, system hardening, and validation of controls, ensuring compliance with Defense-in-Depth (DID), DODIN Joint Information Environment (JIE), and RMF standards. - I collaborate with government stakeholders during technical reviews, design decisions, and policy development. - I ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems.

This position is full-time with a salary range of $115,000.00 - $145,000.00 annually. We offer various benefits, including dental, health, life, paid time off, and vision insurance. Required certifications include CompTIA Security+ and CISSP. The job is located in Alexandria, VA, and you must be able to commute or relocate prior to starting work. This role requires in-person attendance.
