Requirements
Must:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field, graduating no earlier than December 2025
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python (pandas, scikit-learn, PySpark) or SQL
- Experience with data visualization tools including Power BI, Tableau, or matplotlib
- Ability to comprehend various data structures and common data transformation methods
- Knowledge of machine learning principles, statistical analysis, and model evaluation techniques
- Familiarity with Azure Databricks, cloud-based data systems, or version control tools like GitHub or Azure DevOps is advantageous
- Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a curiosity for deriving insights from data
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to collaborate effectively in a team setting
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with CPS Data Engineers, Manufacturing, and GDI teams to identify business challenges and convert them into analytical solutions
- Gather, process, and analyze extensive datasets from various platforms (SAP, Azure Data Lake, Power BI, etc.)
- Create and evaluate machine learning or optimization models to enhance projects such as Kit Optimization, Complexity Analysis, and Inventory Benchmarking
- Design intuitive visualizations and dashboards to convey insights and recommendations to key stakeholders
- Facilitate the automation and scaling of analytical workflows in Databricks and Azure environments
- Document methodologies, datasets, and models to promote reproducibility and knowledge transfer
- Present findings and recommendations to leaders in Data Science and Manufacturing

We are excited to welcome a Data Science Intern to our team. In this role, you will tackle real-world challenges in manufacturing through analytics, machine learning, and automation while enhancing process efficiency, optimizing inventory, and supporting sustainability initiatives. You will gain valuable hands-on experience and benefit from mentorship in a collaborative workspace. This internship opportunity will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, from May 18 to July 31, 2026. We offer competitive monthly salaries of $4,506 for undergraduates and $6,066 for graduates. Please note that we will not provide sponsorship for employment status and applicants must have the legal right to work in the United States.
