Requirements
Must:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalency.
- Bachelors Degree in a technology field or equivalent experience.
- Over 5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity or related domain.
- Technical certification relevant to the role.
- Certification required: CISSP
- Certification required: SABSA
- Certification required: AWS/Azure Security Specialty.
- Experience in the energy or utility industry (preferred).
- Familiar with NIST CSF, C2M2, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NERC CIP, HIPAA, PCI).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft O365 suite and relevant security tools.
- Experience with scripting, automation, or data visualization tools (preferred).
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to influence cross-functional teams (preferred).
- Must have and maintain a valid Texas drivers license.
- Must have reliable high-speed Internet service for remote work.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Ability to drive occasionally as needed.
- Must be available for extended hours and respond to security incidents during off hours as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of secure systems and infrastructure across our organization.
- Ensure security is incorporated into all stages of technology planning, development, and deployment.
- Develop and maintain enterprise security architecture based on Zero Trust principles.
- Conduct architecture risk assessments and secure design evaluations for new projects.
- Create and enforce security standards, frameworks, and reference architectures.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate security into solution designs.
- Assess emerging technologies and suggest secure adoption strategies.
- Support cloud security architecture and secure hybrid deployment environments.
- Comply with CoServs established safety practices and operating procedures.
- Adhere to our Information Security Handbook, including reporting any suspected security incidents to Tech Support.
- Participate in vendor evaluations and contract reviews.
- Assist in the development of policies and standards.
- Contribute to audit and compliance efforts.
- Attend CoServ University training as required.
- Perform additional duties and tasks as directed throughout the role.
