Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience as an API developer, specifically with Python scripts
- Familiarity with credit decisioning applications and their APIs
- Strong background in REST, GraphQL, and SOAP
- Knowledge of API management platforms
- Proficient in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript (Node.js), or Ruby
- Expertise in relational databases like Oracle and SQL Server, including SQL query writing
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman
- Competence in version control systems, particularly Git
- Ability to create secure and scalable API endpoints and services
- Familiarity with authentication methods (e.g., OAuth, API keys)
- Experience in monitoring API performance for troubleshooting
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust API endpoints and services
- Ensure APIs meet both functional and non-functional specifications
- Integrate internal systems with third-party services to facilitate seamless data flow
- Document API usage, endpoints, and associated data structures comprehensively
- Collaborate with frontend and backend developers to define project requirements and ensure smooth integration
- Implement security measures for authentication and authorization processes
- Monitor API performance and address any troubleshooting needs
