Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree (BA/BS) in computer science, economics, finance, data analytics, public policy, urban planning, social sciences, or a closely related field.
- 3–5 years of direct experience using Tableau to create, develop, and manage dashboards and reports (this is a necessity).
- Strong analytical, research, and quantitative capabilities; proficient in handling datasets, metrics, and key performance indicators.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; comfortable interacting with various data source systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of transforming complex information into clear, understandable insights for diverse stakeholders.
- Over five years of experience dealing with impact data, program evaluation, or performance metrics, preferably in community development, CDFIs, impact investing, or social finance.
- Experience and/or deep interest in socio-economic challenges faced by low-income communities and specific demographics (e.g., African American, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American), particularly on Native American reservations.
- Familiarity with survey methodologies, collection strategies, and execution processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, manage, and consistently enhance impact data collection processes, including borrower surveys (methodology, collection strategies, implementation, and process improvements).
- Input, monitor, and analyze project/borrower metrics and related data to assess community outcomes (e.g., jobs created or retained, affordable housing units, community facilities, services in underserved areas).
- Construct, maintain, and upgrade interactive Tableau dashboards and reports for leadership, board members, investors, and partners, utilizing various data sources (e.g., CRM/nCino, Excel, other internal systems). Demonstrate a Tableau proficiency for data curation and compliance reporting, and work within Tableau to evaluate and monitor impact in formats suitable for internal and external reports.
- Create internal and external impact reports, including investor/partner surveys, quarterly and annual impact reports for management and the Board of Directors, as well as compliance documents for funders, partners, certifying bodies, and regulators.
- Lead or assist in developing annual case studies on borrowers/projects that showcase community impact and lessons learned.
- Supply impact data, statistics, and research to bolster grant and capital applications (e.g., CDFI Fund Financial Assistance Awards, Capital Magnet Fund, NMTC applications, and other public and private funding opportunities).
- Support impact services offered to clients, partners, and internal teams, including tailored analyses, impact reporting assistance, and other fee-based or strategic impact services as necessary.
- Participate in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and B Corp initiatives that enhance community impact, accountability, transparency, workforce development, and environmental stewardship, including benchmarking peer practices, managing B Corp initiatives like the B BOLD Internship Award Program, and aiding in the development of the Annual Benefit Report.
- Collaborate with colleagues across different departments and locations to ensure consistent, high-quality impact data and to translate insights into enhanced programs and practices.
