Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or Masters degree with 2+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
- Outstanding written communication skills required, with the ability to proofread, edit, and complete official documents independently.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively across various management levels, multitask, and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- Experience managing budgets and organizing meetings for diverse stakeholders from professional aviation organizations.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in editing and proofreading formal documents.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Public Trust Security clearance.
- In-person support required five days a week at FAA and DOT Headquarters in Washington, DC; no telework option available.
- Preferred: Experience in federal government contracting.
- Preferred: Familiarity with FAA systems.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Adobe and SharePoint.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main liaison for internal and external stakeholders, including FAA, Department of Transportation (DOT), and other federal agencies.
- Oversee business operations for AOA, APL, and across the agency, including facilitating meetings, coordinating logistics for engagement sessions, and managing office communications.
- Provide administrative support to the FAA Administrators, management team, and staff, which encompasses logistical assistance and urgent task management.
- Lead the drafting and finalization of documents for the Chief Administrative Officer, as well as internal and external stakeholders and for Congressional hearings.
- Employ internal systems such as SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, E2, Concur, and other agency-specific tools to effectively manage workflows and communications.
- Arrange and coordinate domestic and international travel, including managing country clearances and travel authorizations while following federal guidelines and budget constraints.
- Conduct thorough research to assist FAA staff with special projects and routine responsibilities.
