Requirements
Must:
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance
- Ability to work onsite in Washington, DC
- Extensive experience with VMware and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure
- Proficient in implementing STIGs related to Information Assurance
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the installation, configuration, and support of vSphere (8.x), NSX T/NSX V, vSAN, and related services.
- Work with Dell VxRail and PowerFlex clusters, focusing on capacity planning, health monitoring, and firmware updates.
- Handle block and file storage solutions, including LUN provisioning, file system management, and data protection activities.
- Set up and maintain top of rack (ToR) switches, VLANs, and NA IP routing to facilitate virtual networking and storage traffic.
- Create and manage Ansible playbooks for provisioning, patching, and compliance automations.
- Ensure security by implementing DISA STIGs and vendor hardening guidelines; conduct regular vulnerability assessments and remediation.
- Generate clear run books, change control documentation, and knowledge base articles; collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and execute projects.
Description
We are a consulting firm located in Washington, DC, currently seeking a Senior VMware Consultant for a 20-month contract. This position will involve working onsite with some remote flexibility, focusing on the implementation and configuration of VMware software and Dell hardware.
