Requirements
Must:
- Ability to work 100% onsite
- Experience with PowerEdge Rack/Tower servers
- Proficiency with RHEL and Ubuntu operating systems
- Expertise in managing larger server environments
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily operations within the data center
- Monitor the data center for amber lights and emergency indicators
- Guide field engineers when required
- Manage LOIS parts after receiving training on-site
- Keep documentation updated, including serial numbers and runbooks
- Collaborate with customers for maintenance tasks, including power and cooling
- Manage BIOS lifecycle, including user additions and patching
- Coordinate with Dell support for break/fix scheduling
- Follow guidance from the customer team for version updates
Description
We are seeking a Dell PowerEdge Server Engineer for a 6-month contract at our Springfield, OH location. This role involves working entirely onsite to support PowerEdge Rack/Tower servers operating on RHEL and Ubuntu. We provide excellent benefits and compensation packages, with an anticipated hourly rate between $50 and $70, reflecting the candidates qualifications and skills. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and operation of our data center.
