Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology is required.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal, listening, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English.
- Self-starter with the capability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Capacity to make informed decisions based on product knowledge and past experiences.
- Experience in technical sales is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Minimal physical lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally with the ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend in an office setting.
- Willingness to travel and adapt to various work environments and cultures as needed.
Responsibilities
- Generate quotations for customers and offer pre-contract technical support to drive sales.
- Provide consultation on applications, technical issues, installation, and troubleshooting to customers and internal teams.
- Address customer inquiries regarding our products, competitors, and integration challenges within their specific environments.
- Clearly convey the value and benefits of our products, along with technical specifics in a concise manner.
- Identify customer needs and qualifications to enhance the quality of potential leads for the company.
- Supply market insights regarding quotations, products, and competitive landscape to sales and marketing teams.
- Review customer specifications via blueprints or plans to create detailed proposals outlining necessary equipment, pricing, delivery timelines, and financial terms.
- Prepare documentation and submission packages as required by customers.
- Ensure all proposals comply with company standards and contractual language.
- Process incoming material and equipment orders from customers.
- Maintain CRM in accordance with company protocols.
- Inform customers about pricing, shipping dates, potential delays, and other pertinent details regarding their orders.
- Enter orders into the order entry system and calculate total costs, discounts, and sales commissions.
- Engage effectively with employees across all levels of the company, as well as suppliers and customers.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards rigorously.
- Uphold quality assurance policies in alignment with ISO standards.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Exhibit punctuality and maintain regular attendance.
- Undertake any additional job-related tasks as assigned.
