AI vision systems specialist

- Design, develop, and implement computer vision systems for automated inspection, defect detection, and process monitoring - Create proof-of-concept (PoC) solutions in lab settings, validate with stakeholders, and facilitate integration into primary manufacturing machines - Incorporate vision systems (edge devices, cameras, sensors, lighting) with production equipment - Establish a predictive and preventative maintenance schedule along with an inventory of essential spare parts to ensure long-term solution viability - Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to deploy AI models and data pipelines for real-time analytics - Lead and assist in the rollout of vision solutions across various regions, ensuring compliance with local standards and requirements - Coordinate with regional teams for pilot builds, R&D trials, and feedback collection - Assess and select hardware/software components for vision applications in both brownfield and greenfield projects - Produce and oversee technical documentation, including Supplier Statements of Work (SSOW), Bills of Materials (BOM), system calibration, quality procedures, and spare parts listings - Guide the vendor selection process and nurture strategic partnerships with equipment suppliers and integrators - Remain updated on evolving technologies in computer vision, machine learning, and industrial automation - Conduct benchmarking activities and share insights with global teams - Promote innovation and standardization across sites and regions - Communicate technical concepts and project updates to all levels of stakeholders, including executive leadership - Encourage collaboration across functions and regions to ensure alignment and share best practices
