Requirements

Must:
- High school diploma or equivalent, including coursework in business English, typing, and basic arithmetic. - Two years of administrative or clerical experience supporting a department, program, or office. - Relevant education may substitute for up to one year of general experience. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Strong customer service and communication skills. - Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable. - Valid Arizona Class D Driver License. - Successful completion of a background check and drug screening may be required. - Some duties may require specialized training or certification.

Responsibilities

- Provide administrative and field support to permitting, code enforcement, business licensing, and departmental operations. - Utilize the Citys permitting software to create, maintain, track, and report permit information. - Maintain digital records for plan check applications and issued permits. - Support administrative tasks related to code enforcement cases involving various violations of city codes. - Conduct initial investigations, including receiving complaints, performing site visits, and documenting findings. - Prepare draft Notices of Violation and manage mailing in compliance with legal protocols. - Conduct follow-up inspections to ensure compliance. - Coordinate enforcement actions alongside third-party contractors. - Collaborate with City departments to calculate fees and prepare required notices. - Maintain accurate documentation and case records for lien processes with the Pima County Recorders Office. - Create monthly reports for the department and assist the Assistant City Clerk and Permit Technician as needed. - Organize departmental schedules and prepare correspondence and procedural documentation. - Schedule meetings for various boards and commissions and ensure legal posting of notices. - Attend regional meeting for Pima Association of Governments and Regional Transportation Authority as necessary. - Help in processing and tracking business license applications and responding to inquiries from the public.
