Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in IT support roles, particularly in desktop support, help desk operations, or network administration within a fast-paced setting.
- Solid understanding of operating systems including Windows (Windows Server), macOS, and Linux; familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite is crucial.
- Practical experience in managing computer networks with LAN/WAN configurations, DNS setup, TCP/IP troubleshooting, VPNs, firewalls (including Meraki), and adhering to network security best practices.
- Proficiency in management tools such as SCCM for software deployment, Active Directory for user management, GPO for policy enforcement, BMC Remedy or ServiceNow for ticketing, and Jira for project tracking.
- Capability to troubleshoot hardware issues related to computers and peripherals; experience with hardware upgrades or repairs is preferred.
- Excellent communication abilities with a customer-focused mindset to assist staff members of diverse technical skills.
- Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) solutions; understanding of operating systems such as Windows 10/11, macOS Big Sur/Monterey, and Linux distributions is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills to quickly identify the root causes of technical issues and effectively implement solutions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive technical support for all church hardware, software, and network systems to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve software issues across multiple platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Manage computer hardware assets, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals, ensuring inventory accuracy and performance standards.
- Supervise network infrastructure including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), Wi-Fi (including Meraki), DNS configurations, firewalls, VPNs, TCP/IP protocols, and network security measures.
- Oversee Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), Microsoft Windows Server environments, SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), BMC Remedy ticketing system, ServiceNow, Jira, and other ITSM tools for effective service management.
- Configure and maintain network devices like switches and routers for optimal connectivity; conduct regular analysis using tools like DNS analysis and TCP diagnostics.
- Assist in the deployment and management of digital signage, audio-visual equipment, and mobile devices utilized during services and events.
- Work collaboratively with team members to create security protocols, including firewall management and access controls, to protect sensitive information.
- Accurately document all technical procedures; generate reports on system performance and incident resolution for ongoing improvement.
