Senior Data Scientist - Python, Machine Learning

- Bachelors Degree or equivalent - At least 6 years of experience in statistical analysis, machine learning, computer science, programming, and data storytelling - A minimum of 6 years working with big data technologies like Spark, AWS, and Hadoop, in addition to traditional RDBMS such as Oracle and SQL Server - At least 6 years of data mining experience, preferably in a data-focused financial setting - Proven experience in developing advanced machine learning architectures using scalable ML ecosystems and enterprise data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks - Background in leading cross-functional data transformation efforts - Strong proficiency in machine learning techniques and algorithms - Experienced in utilizing common data science toolkits and visualization software - Solid statistical skills, including knowledge of distributions, statistical testing, and regression analysis - Excellent organizational, time management, and initiative skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Well-developed verbal and written communication skills - Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively team and collaborate - Capable of working independently with the ability to research and resolve issues while keeping management informed - Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines - Experience in managing various projects and guiding stakeholders to address new challenges - Ability to influence and engage with senior stakeholders to shape strategic initiatives - Understanding of regulatory and responsible AI frameworks and governance - Proven track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams - In-depth knowledge of distributed computing enterprise data platforms and MLOps
