Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 4 years in data science, analytics, or applied machine learning
- Strong expertise in Python and experience using notebook environments
- Familiarity with NLP techniques and libraries such as spaCy, NLTK, or Hugging Face
- Proven track record of handling unstructured text data and applying text processing techniques
- Experience in sourcing and preparing data from diverse systems and formats
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, including technical writing and engaging stakeholders
- Preferred: Familiarity with Generative AI tools and pre-trained LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Gemini)
- Preferred: Experience in developing robust orchestration strategies for business solutions
- Preferred: Background in creating agentic workflows and systems
- Preferred: Exposure to model validation teams or regulators
- Preferred: Understanding of prompt engineering and evaluation of LLM results
- Required: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a relevant discipline
Responsibilities
- Utilize LLMs and other Generative AI tools to address practical challenges within the bank, such as summarization, classification, information extraction, and conversational AI
- Acquire, clean, and prepare both structured and unstructured data for model input and evaluation
- Perform exploratory data analysis and apply statistical methodologies to support model assessment and enhancement
- Collaborate with various teams, including risk, compliance, and model validation, to guarantee responsible AI use
- Keep abreast of developments in Generative AI and NLP, evaluating their relevance to banking applications
- Clearly document methodologies, findings, and model use for audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge
