- Create a student-focused learning atmosphere that equips learners for administrative office roles, covering practices like document formatting, editing, and the use of emerging technologies. - Devise all course materials and lesson plans adhering to departmental standards. - Deliver clear expectations and evaluations to students through thoughtfully crafted course outlines and standardized syllabus. - Assign engaging and relevant tasks that illustrate learning objectives in practical situations. - Motivate, involve, assist, and communicate with students to foster their participation and learning while upholding mutual respect. - Maintain a timely record of grades, learning assessments, and final examinations. - Ensure that course and program outcomes align with the syllabus requirements. - Keep an electronic progress record for each student using the Blackboard learning platform, ensuring accessibility throughout the term. - Facilitate effective learning of course competencies and actively support all aspects of the educational environment. - Encourage student success through adaptable teaching styles and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and supporting students in their learning journeys. - Develop and evaluate all coursework to determine achievement of course objectives as outlined in the syllabus with approval from the Academic Dean. - Complete all semester-end tasks as required, including submitting final grades, exam copies, attendance records, and other specified materials to the Academic Office. - Consult with relevant academic personnel regarding course content, instructional strategies, and adherence to college policies. - Respond promptly and thoroughly to inquiries from students and academic staff as necessary.
