Must:
We require a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field, or equivalent experience totaling 8 years. You should possess extensive technical knowledge of Local Area Networks and Access Networks, with advanced-level experience in multiple routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, iBGP, and OSPF. A deep understanding of network LAN redundancy, including designing and supporting highly redundant networks using HSRP or CSM, is essential. You must also have advanced knowledge in LAN protocol management, including address management and network protocols. Experience with one or more of the following models is desired: Aruba/Cisco routers, switches, and WLAN technologies; firewalls, IPS, and similar technologies; SD-WAN technologies; F5 hardware/software technologies; WAN optimizers like Silverpeak; and Cisco/Avaya Voice over IP Networks (VOIP). Familiarity with local and wide area networking across multiple platforms such as Windows, Linux, and VMware, as well as network protocols and routing, is crucial. A total of eight years of experience in a large corporate systems environment with a variety of Information Management systems, networks, and technologies is required, including a minimum of five years in network engineering, design, implementation, and support of large scale LAN, WLAN, and WAN configurations. Prior experience in a healthcare systems environment is a plus. We prefer certifications such as Cisco & Aruba Certification and Ekahau or Air Magnet Certification.

Responsibilities

In this role, I am responsible for strategic planning and coordination of the future state of our networks, ensuring that the network solutions align with our organizational vision and strategy. My duties include analyzing network configurations for critical corporate resources, evaluating proposed changes, and providing input to improve performance and efficiency. I will be integrating network components and subsystems into our existing technical environment, while ensuring system availability and throughput. I am tasked with designing, implementing, and overseeing processes to collect and report data on the networking environment. I must ensure that our systems operate efficiently and are kept up to date with vendor-supplied updates and patches. Monitoring the performance of all systems assigned to me, I will also provide training to associates and clients as needed.

Description

As the Enterprise Network Engineer I, I fulfill a crucial role that encompasses both strategic planning and tactical execution in Networking operations. My day-to-day activities involve network provisioning, performance tuning, error tracking, and software configurations, while also focusing on systems integration and tier III technical support for our network technologies. I work collaboratively with a cross-functional team, ensuring that we address all interoperability issues and provide training and guidance to technical staff performing first and second level support tasks. I will also take on additional duties as assigned to meet the evolving needs of our organization.
