Must:
- I require a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field, or an equivalent experience of at least three years. - I expect strong technical knowledge of large-scale enterprise infrastructure hardware, including virtualization technologies, computing, storage, networking, and cloud computing technologies. - A proficient understanding of industry practices and technical systems, along with a solid grasp of how technological solutions can be utilized in a business setting, is essential. - I seek proficient knowledge and troubleshooting skills in core Windows components such as Directory Services, LAN/WAN Protocols, Storage Technologies, Infrastructure services, and Internet Information Services, or equivalent experience with Linux or Unix platforms. - Experience in administering High Availability, Redundancy, and Disaster Recovery solutions is necessary. - Proficiency in virtualization solutions, configurations of Windows and Windows Services, Linux and Linux Services, Antivirus, E-mail systems, network transports, and Backup software/hardware is required. - A background in large-scale server deployment, configuration management software, and advanced recovery of systems is essential. - Experience with one or more of the following models is desirable: - Hardware: Cisco UCS Hardware, HP Servers, Dell PowerEdge, Hyper Converge Technologies, network switches, SAN, NAS, database systems, VMware, and Cisco solutions. - Software: VMware, VMware ESX, Hyper-V Server, and Operating Systems including Windows Server (Enterprise and Data Center), Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Suse Linux Enterprise, HPUX, and AIX. - Cloud Computing Technologies.

Responsibilities

- I will plan and coordinate the future state of the server infrastructure for our information management, collaborating with the Server Engineering team and/or Solution Architects to define system standards. I will design server solutions that align with the organization’s information system vision and strategy, while also managing projects, service requests, and routine assignments. - I will assist in analyzing server configurations for critical corporate resources, evaluate changes for proposed system acquisitions, and provide essential input for decision-making related to integration, operations, cost, resources, and maintenance. My goal is to develop plans and recommendations that enhance server architecture performance and efficiency while ensuring minimal disruptions to critical systems. - I will integrate server components, subsystems, and facilities into the existing technical environment, assess their interoperability, operational recoverability, and impact on other systems. I will install, configure, and verify the operation of server components while maintaining overall system integration and operation, leading or participating as a team member in cross-system projects. - I will implement and oversee a proactive process to collect and report data and statistics on the server environment to ensure efficient operation and alignment with organizational needs. This includes keeping systems updated with the latest stable versions/releases, researching and testing the impact of updates, coordinating vendor support, and providing training to associates and clients as necessary. - I will maintain in-depth knowledge and current certification in server technologies, including server hardware, virtualization, clustering, and advanced recovery. - I am also open to performing any other duties as assigned.

I am offering a full-time position for the Enterprise Server Engineer I (ESE I) role, where you will play a vital role in providing intermediate-level technical skill and expertise in Server Engineering, while actively participating in server operations. You will be responsible for maintaining the enterprise architecture, performing analysis, and making recommendations related to technical, systems, and process solution architectures and migration strategies. Your daily activities will encompass analysis, design, development, implementation, support, maintenance, and documentation functions for hardware and applications utilized within our enterprise environment. Additionally, you will work as part of a cross-functional team handling a broad spectrum of technology and undertake the role of third-level support for server technologies, guiding and training other technical staff engaged in first and second-level support tasks. The work schedule comprises five days a week, with eight hours each day.
