Requirements
Must:
We require a minimum of a High School degree or equivalent, with post high school coursework in Information Systems being preferred. Ideally, you will have an IT-based certification and a valid New Mexico Driver’s License.
We value demonstrated customer service skills, a basic understanding of desktop operating systems and related software, and the ability to maintain good customer relations. You should be able to clarify complex solutions and problems to users, regardless of their technical ability. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, as well as solid technical writing and documentation abilities, are essential.
Additionally, we look for candidates with at least one year of experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of Personal Computers.

Responsibilities
As a Desktop Support Technician I, my team and I will provide day-to-day operational support to our end users. We are responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of workstation and peripheral equipment. This includes resolving issues reported by the Information Systems Service Desk and implementing new functionality.
I also ensure that we adhere to the documentation processes and organizational policies and procedures. It is important for us to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions to users at all levels, supporting both their technological needs and business goals.
Description
In this role, we report to the Manager of Desktop Support Services. The working environment consists of a standard office setting, with exposure to computer room environments and potential biohazards related to patient care. We are required to manage bloodborne pathogens while ensuring safety and professionalism. Physical requirements for this position include the ability to lift and transfer objects typically not exceeding 50 lbs., reach for objects up to 8 ft. with assistance, and prolonged use of video display terminals and keyboards while practicing sound ergonomic principles.
