Requirements

Must:
We prefer candidates to have a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or to be in the process of obtaining one. We expect you to bring at least 5 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity or in a comparable role, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity. A strong understanding of security frameworks, including NIST, ISO, and CIS Controls, is essential. We are looking for individuals with excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Additionally, professional certifications such as CISSP (required or in process) and CISM or CISA are highly desirable.

In this position, I will rely on you to develop and execute the organization's cybersecurity strategy in alignment with our business objectives. You will establish and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards while conducting regular risk assessments and creating mitigation plans. As a team leader, you will mentor and develop a group of cybersecurity analysts and engineers, manage resources, and drive team performance to achieve security goals, all while promoting a culture of security awareness throughout the organization. You will also monitor threat intelligence sources and take proactive measures to defend against cyber threats. Leading incident response efforts will be part of your duties, which will include investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery, along with conducting post-incident reviews to foster continuous improvement. Your oversight will extend to the deployment, configuration, and management of security tools (such as firewalls, SIEM, and endpoint protection), ensuring effective security monitoring and alerting systems. You will manage vulnerability assessments and penetration testing programs, as well as ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards, including ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and HIPAA. I will count on you to coordinate audits and respond to findings with corrective actions, maintaining thorough security documentation to support compliance and governance. Collaboration is key in this role. You will work alongside IT, legal, HR, and executive leadership to ensure that cybersecurity aligns with business needs, reporting on metrics, threats, and our overall risk posture to senior management. Engaging with third-party vendors and partners will also be a part of your responsibilities to assess and manage security risks.

This role reports to and supports the System Director of Cybersecurity in day-to-day InfoSec operations and is a hands-on managerial position. You will be responsible for the oversight of the organization's cybersecurity program, which includes strategy, planning, and execution aimed at safeguarding digital assets and infrastructure from both internal and external threats. Your leadership will involve guiding a team of security professionals, developing policies and procedures, managing incident response, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. By collaborating with IT, legal, compliance, and various business units, we aim to maintain a robust security posture and effectively mitigate cyber risks. The expected work schedule is from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, and this position is a full-time role.
