Requirements
Must:
- 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically in maritime/vessel cybersecurity, IT/OT security, and federal cybersecurity policies.
- Prior experience with the US Navy or Coast Guard in maritime cybersecurity is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), FISMA, and U.S. maritime cybersecurity requirements.
- Familiarity with Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM), Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM), and Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM).
- Proven track record in leading cybersecurity assessments, compliance audits, and risk management efforts.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control principles, methods, and tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Tableau, and SharePoint.
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert support to the MARAD Information Assurance Program regarding operations, administrative tasks, and system authorization processes.
- Collaborate directly with MARAD Program Office and Information System Security Manager (ISSM) on cybersecurity and authority to operate matters for information systems.
- Manage core documentation for MARADs Information Systems in line with system engineering processes and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Assist in developing and updating Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Privacy Threshold Analyses (PTAs), and System of Record Notices (SORNs).
- Collaborate with System Owners to ensure the accuracy and completeness of compliance documentation.
- Create and maintain various security plans, including System Security Plan (SSP) and Information System Configuration Management Plan.
- Support the development and maintenance of an inventory of Information System Interconnections, including Interconnection Security Agreements and MOUs.
- Conduct risk assessments and assist in developing Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) for identified security weaknesses.
- Aid in the information system contingency planning process and ensure results of exercises are documented and used for improvements.
- Support incident response efforts and compliance reporting.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
