Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Technology Management (HTM), or Engineering required.
- Alternatively, an Adult Education in Biomedical Equipment Technology with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience can replace the educational requirement.
- At least 4 years of experience as a Functional Systems Analyst or Biomedical Technician essential.
- Familiarity with DoD, DoN, and BUMED Life Cycle Management and Personal Property Management programs necessary.
- Practical experience with HTM equipment and systems.
- Understanding of the Defense Medical Logistics Support System (DMLSS) - Equipment Management Module.
- Proficiency in systems analysis and design techniques, as well as relevant software, computer equipment, database management, and information systems security methods.
- Knowledge in the development of training for business/systems integration.
- Competence in drafting correspondence in standard business and military formats.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Access, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Power BI.
- Must successfully clear pre-employment qualifications set by Cherokee Federal.
Responsibilities
- Implement a systematic preventive maintenance program for complex integrated diagnostic systems and biomedical instrumentation; advise on compliance with safety standards and maintain pertinent records.
- Offer technical support and training for equipment maintenance and operation; recommend acquisition of biomedical instruments and identify deficiencies.
- Oversee vendor performance in maintenance, calibration, installation, and service documentation verification.
- Execute routine tasks related to the installation, servicing, calibration, and acceptance of various biomedical instruments.
- Develop Maintenance Plans and Procedures for medical devices in alignment with manufacturer recommendations to be input in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Assess, track compliance, and disseminate alerts about hazards and recalls affecting medical equipment to Naval Operational Forces and the Navy fleet.
- Support preventive maintenance programs for biomedical apparatus.
- Document new equipment introduction, maintenance actions, and special requests as necessary.
- Assist in diagnosing equipment issues through alterations, repairs, or replacements to ensure instruments meet specifications.
- Manage Technical Manuals for medical, dental, and diagnostic equipment utilized by our fleet and operational force clients.
- Contribute to technical documentation efforts for equipment support and procurement.
- Generate various reports using government-maintained systems to help in planning and operations for NMRLC-DET FTD.
- Provide onsite or remote guidance on HTM Life Cycle Management across Naval Operational Forces and support major tasks associated with OFSD responsibilities.
- Engage in professional development through certifications and ongoing education.
- Fulfill additional assigned job-related duties as required.
