Requirements
Must:
- U.S. Citizen with the capability to obtain and sustain a VA Public Trust Clearance
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect
- Bachelors degree and 8 years of experience in Salesforce architecture or development, OR
- Associates degree and 10 years of experience in Salesforce architecture or development, OR
- High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of experience in Salesforce architecture or development
- Expertise in Salesforce platform architecture and enterprise solution design
- Proficiency in Apex development, Lightning Web Components, and platform automation
- Solid understanding of Salesforce data modeling and enterprise data architecture
- Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST, SOAP, and middleware platforms
- Knowledge of API design and integration frameworks
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments
- Skills in performance optimization and scalable Salesforce platform design
- Strong communication abilities, capable of translating technical architecture for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams, including developers, administrators, and program leadership
- Capacity to guide architecture decisions while adhering to enterprise standards
Responsibilities
- Define the overall Salesforce architecture and technical strategy for the VA LGY VALERI platform
- Convert business requirements into scalable Salesforce solution designs and technical architecture diagrams, including detailed current and future state diagrams
- Lead architectural design across Apex development, Lightning Web Components, integrations, data models, and platform automation
- Produce and refine architectural documentation for technical design documents relating to Mulesoft, Oracle, and integration orchestration
- Create process maps using Lucidchart efficiently, with deliverables expected within hours or days, not weeks
- Establish and enforce Salesforce architecture, coding standards, and best practices across development teams
- Design and supervise complex integrations with external systems utilizing REST, SOAP, middleware platforms, and API frameworks
- Ensure solutions comply with federal security standards, FedRAMP requirements, and Salesforce security best practices
- Advise development teams on architecture decisions, performance enhancements, and scalability strategies
- Collaborate with program leadership, business analysts, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with mission objectives
- Review technical designs, conduct architecture evaluations, and provide governance on significant Salesforce enhancements
- Support DevOps practices, encompassing CI/CD pipelines, release management, and environment strategies
- Provide architectural guidance for data management, integration patterns, and enterprise system interoperability
- Mentor developers and administrators, promoting strong collaboration across cross-functional technical teams

The estimated starting salary for the Salesforce Technical Architect position is between $130,000 and $160,000, with pay commensurate to experience.
