Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 20 years of general work experience with a Bachelors degree
- 7+ years of Salesforce experience, including 2+ years in a Salesforce Architect or Technical Lead role
- Proven track record of designing solutions using Salesforce Education Cloud, Salesforce Experience Cloud Sites, and Education Cloud Data Model
- Demonstrated experience in leading data migration initiatives from legacy education systems into Salesforce
- Strong comprehension of ERDs, data relationships, and custom object/field design for complex education scenarios
- Experience with OmniStudio, Flow, and declarative automation tools
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and team collaboration environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting technical solutions to executive stakeholders
- Salesforce Certified Education Cloud Consultant
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect (highly preferred)
- Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, Advanced Administrator, or Consultant (e.g., Education, Service, Sales, Experience Cloud)
- Salesforce OmniStudio Consultant or Developer certification
- Understanding of data migration from legacy systems to new Salesforce implementations is highly preferred
- Maintain Salesforce certifications and be willing to assign them to HigherEchelon; seek to earn additional certifications for Salesforce
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance, if necessary
- Must meet pre-employment qualifications as determined by Cherokee Federal
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical architect for Salesforce Education Cloud implementations, ensuring secure, scalable solutions in line with Salesforce best practices
- Work closely with clients in the education sector to translate strategic objectives and operational requirements into a comprehensive Education Cloud architecture and roadmap
- Lead end-to-end solution design encompassing data models, integration strategies, and environment management
- Architect and oversee the migration of legacy data from student information systems or customized education platforms into Salesforce Education Cloud
- Design and document complex data models utilizing Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) while ensuring adherence to Education Data Architecture standards
- Assess and recommend Salesforce-native and third-party tools that support implementation objectives (e.g., OmniStudio, Marketing Cloud, Tableau)
- Support business analysts, consultants, and developers through design sessions, architecture reviews, and governance of code/configuration
- Contribute to proposal development, solution demonstrations, and pre-sales initiatives as required
- Mentor junior Salesforce professionals, advocate for architectural best practices, and contribute to enablement and innovation across the practice
- Stay informed about the Education Cloud roadmap and the features on Salesforces roadmap, assisting the project manager with project planning
- Experience architecting solutions for Student Management and Alumni solutions
- Responsible for maintaining project architecture documentation for both internal and external use
- Perform additional duties as required
