Requirements
Must:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with Counterintelligence polygraph
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience with SOF units/SMUs
- Experience in collaborating with and training partners
- Capability to advise on the integration of small robotics into SOF operations
- Understanding of Irregular Warfare operational design and strategies
- Expertise in the design, construction, and operation of aerial, ground, and subsurface vehicles
- Experience in creating and delivering in-person and remote training for sUAS assemblers and pilots
- Proficiency in integrating autonomous pilot hardware alongside full manual control in designs
- Must successfully complete pre-employment qualifications with Cherokee Federal
Responsibilities
- Design and develop groups of 1-3 unmanned aerial, ground, and subsurface vehicles for current and future operations
- Construct and prototype small robotic and unmanned vehicle systems
- Utilize small robots and unmanned vehicles during operational testing phases
- Analyze and evaluate both current and anticipated foreign weaponized systems, assessing capabilities, vulnerabilities, production, stockpiles, deployment, proliferation, and battlefield impact
- Support defense analytics with advanced scientific and engineering research and conduct capability and limitation analyses along with vulnerability assessments on foreign robotic systems
- Undertake any additional job-related tasks as assigned
