Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with 5 years of AWS/Lambda or relevant software development experience, OR Associates degree with 7 years of AWS/Lambda or relevant software development experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of AWS/Lambda or relevant software development experience.
- Capability to secure VA Public Trust Clearance.
- Practical experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, CloudWatch, S3, and IAM.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining API-driven integration systems across various platforms.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for automation of deployments.
- Experience with logging and monitoring solutions such as CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog, or similar tools.
- Awareness of secure coding guidelines and cloud security standards aligned with NIST, FISMA, or FedRAMP.
- Expertise in troubleshooting distributed systems and serverless architectures.
- Possession of AWS Certification such as AWS Certified Developer, Solutions Architect, or SysOps Administrator.
- Requirement to pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
Responsibilities
- Create and sustain AWS Lambda functions that facilitate data retrieval and processing for LGY integrations.
- Design and implement API integrations with various VA enterprise systems.
- Establish and maintain data transformation and mapping processes for downstream utilization in Salesforce.
- Diagnose and resolve defects related to Lambda execution and integration workflows in production environments.
- Oversee and evaluate CloudWatch logs and system performance metrics to detect errors and performance challenges.
- Apply error handling, retry mechanisms, and resilient processing patterns for API-centric workflows.
- Assist in AWS Step Functions orchestration for complex integration tasks.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and aid in the resolution of production incidents.
- Work closely with development and DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployments and system reliability.
- Ensure that all solutions adhere to secure coding practices and comply with VA OIT regulations.
- Perform additional job-related tasks as necessary.
