Requirements
Must:
- Masters degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Social/Applied Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Over 10 years of pertinent experience in AI ethics, AI research, Security, Trust & Safety, or similar roles (academic doctoral experience is recognized).
- Proficiency in fairness, alignment, adversarial robustness, or interpretability/explainability.
- Experience tackling responsible generative AI challenges and risk mitigation strategies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities catering to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Genuine curiosity and passion for AI policy and governance.
- Preferred: 7+ years in AI/ML research and development using Python.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (AI-specific or within the financial sector) and responsible AI standards.
- Proven track record in publishing research related to AI safety, alignment, or governance.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and deploying LLM-based applications in production.
- Experience in adversarial testing, red-teaming, and risk assessment for AI systems.
- Strong fundamentals in data science, including SQL, Python libraries like pandas, and data visualization.
- Capability in writing unit tests and constructing robust data pipelines.
- Business domain knowledge related to financial products.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cutting-edge methods to detect bias and establish technical guardrails that align with ethical AI principles.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to guarantee that Schwabs AI systems adhere to regulatory and ethical standards.
- Construct and maintain systems for continuous monitoring and evaluation of AI models, incorporating human-in-the-loop strategies and automated metrics.
