Requirements
Must:
- 12 years of professional experience in Architectural Technology
- 3+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Hands-on experience architecting and developing Generative AI systems, such as LLM orchestration, RAG pipelines, and copilots
- Familiarity with leading AI platforms and frameworks: Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, and agent frameworks
- Strong software engineering capabilities in Python, TypeScript, and Java, with cloud-native development on Azure and AWS
- Proven track record of designing and deploying production ML systems including feature stores, model registries, CI/CD pipelines, and data privacy protections
- Expertise in retrieval systems encompassing semantic chunking, metadata extraction, hybrid search, and vector stores (e.g., Azure AI Search, Pinecone)
- In-depth knowledge of security and compliance patterns, including SSO, RBAC, secrets management, and multi-tenant isolation; awareness of risks and controls in financial services
- Competence in prompt engineering and evaluation, including prompt versioning, catalogs, and test harnesses
- Proficiency in IaC and automated delivery pipelines (Terraform, Bicep, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Strong cross-functional leadership, including driving architecture reviews, setting standards, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with Risk and Compliance teams
- Excellent communicator regarding trade-offs, cost/performance, and ROI to both technical and business stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Own and continually refine enterprise GenAI reference architectures, including LLM orchestration and retrieval systems
- Design solution blueprints and integration patterns across data platforms, APIs, identity systems, and tenant isolation; ensure consistency with reusable components and Infrastructure as Code
- Lead architecture reviews and enforce guardrails related to Responsible AI, cost/performance, and safety measures while clearing obstacles for delivery teams
- Rapidly prototype and create high-quality services, including prompts, evaluators, retrievers, chunking pipelines, embeddings, and inference APIs
- Develop scalable ML/AI pipelines and microservices utilizing cloud-native tools such as Azure and AWS, with CI/CD and automated testing practices
- Implement agent frameworks and workflow orchestration for various business scenarios, while cataloging prompts and agents
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and MLOps to deploy, monitor, and manage models, establishing telemetry and cost/usage alerts
- Work closely with AI Program Strategy, Product, Compliance, and LOB stakeholders to prioritize use cases and align with operational models
- Contribute to internal libraries and shared components, publishing patterns, design decisions, and best practices to the AI Community of Practice
- Make recommendations regarding build-vs-buy decisions, assess vendor capabilities, and ensure alignment with governance and ROI frameworks
